Look buddy,

Your other posts you have deleted some of the contents. Now you or your invisible cousin is facing issues now.
You want us to help you but you are giving little information to go about.
You are afraid we will dissect you into bits but how can we help you if you do not spill your guts.... This is your call

If you are not willing to provide, go and see the medium or clairvoyant, they can answer your questions better just by reading between your lines if there is one which I cannot see

6 month

Post by immigration0125 » Tue, 28 Jun 2011 9:31 am

sorry, cos at first i thought short sentence makes more understandable.

Well, I have registered for singapore renunciation since 4 months ago, since feb.

The ica webpage stated it takes only 2 months but how come it takes so long.

Somebody in forum told me for an adult needs 6 month to process renunciation of citizenship but wondering is it true or is there any problem occur due to any unknow reason.

Anyway, i have been exempted from ns since 10 years ago.

The important is do Malaysia still allow me to be a malaysian if in any case of singaproe reject the renunciation?

No one will understand your pidgin English with those short sentence dork !!

So it is you not your cousin renouncing. The vetting for renounciation for migrating back to Malaysia is far more stringent .
Have you called up ICA on the delay ?

You are still M'sia and Sger since you hold both citizenship until such time SG accept your SG renunciation.

No it does not affect you as a Malaysian as you have proof to show to the M'sia Gahmen that you have state your intention to renounce SG citizenship.
No country under the Geneva Convention can deny its citizenship the place of abode or renounce individual citizenship without consent nor approval of the individual.
Singapore cannot reject your renunciation if you have tick all the boxes.
The only issues on the delay will be if you have any offences , summons, income tax return or late contribution of CPF i.e anything to do with the Gahmen , you need to settle it first.
BTW I am not the one who told you the renunciation take 6 months.
You must received the advise from other board then. I doubt it is one of the regulars here.

Income tax you call IRAS , CPF you call CPF board

Get confirmation via e-mail to proof no outstanding issues
You call ICA only for your renounce paper process.

BTW it is not 6 months. It is 6 WEEKS to process
