Great song, and good luck to them.

There's nothing that would make me happier than to see Caracal become a .... ? .... oh I don't know ..... a respected brand (could they become this in SG?). well something..... I am sure.

Clubbed to death - Matrix soundtrack

Jeez, must have been 15-20 years ago. Great stereo separation, per th original.

I think the original back then was Spanish (p.s. this is the original here, just branded as 'The Matrix Theme'. Well yes, but it started out as a club anthem, many many, many years before the Matrix films...)...
all the songs on the matrix sound track are great.

Hmmm.... the track is bigger than the film, IMHO.

Not, more popular, or more well known. Just I feel a bit odd defining a track by where it has been used as a jingle...

This is to ponder on why the mass is (still) hooked to pop music that sounds the same anyway.

I've seen this before, it's brilliant, in a 'You've been had all along, and never realised it' kinda way :)

p.s. I've not looked into the specifics of 4-chord music, but I understand that it somehow has an 'emotional resonance' (for want of a better term). I seem to recall the psychologist de-Botton having an episode of his pop-psych TV series, focusing on the emotions that various musical chord structures evoke (consider: the Sex Pistols vs Vivaldi). That was a bit of a wow programme for me, as I'd never considered music in this way before. I might see if I can dig out a Youtube link...

That was good, I think I've seen something similar but older. They used to call it 3-chord songs though, it changed sometime in the 80s-90s.

You would think with the one more chord that there would be more diversity but I think more songs sound alike in the past 3 decades than the past 5.

MGMT - TIME TO PRETEND - LIVE ON ABBEY ROAD
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Qq8MBQ--UA

Er, 'synth-alt'. I like 'em....

p.s. This new dual button search property/search forum is a complete PITA IMHO. 2/3rds of forum topic searches I do seem to end up returning 'No property met your description'... GRRRR!!!

It's not like I'm going to check and see say what MGMT tracks I've posted before, before posting afresh, and in passing buy a $5mm condo just because I get mis/redirected there, so can't the two be cleanly separated.. ?

The Ooks Of Hazzard - Kids (MGMT Cover)

Witty, but it takes 9 people to cover what was originally a pared-back duet? No... I don't think so...

p.s. And that woman is WAY off key. She shouldn't be on vocals...
