Apocalypse Now - Introduction - HD
[I've watched this film 100+ times (literally, and others), but this one still puts the willies up me, as I know I've got the incredible art-message, the political slam-down, but I'll never get the base-message underneath it]
In that respect, as much as I understand and enjoy the film, it always invites me to a darker place that I'm unsure I wish to visit.

The Prodigy - Live At Glastonbury 2009
No one is going to repeat the 'punk trick' that Malcolm McLaren did with the Sex Pistols.
Meanwhile we get great bands like The Prodigy.... bloody great, Notting Hill boys

Frank Zappa Late Night with David Letterman August 10, 1982
Always interesting seeing Zappa interviewed. Here he's interviewed together with his daughter Moon (aka Moon-Unit). My she's both confident and eloquent for a 14 year old... just wow.

Guns N' Roses - Paradise City
-----------------------------------------------------
Haven't listened to them for years.
Have several of their albums.
Still like their style/sound.
Would be interested to hear how other who know them, interpret/respond to them.

Side-thought:
Curious: there are some really top-bands I've loved for donkeys, that I've had far more 'up close and personal' experiences with in SG than anywhere else.
Deep Purple
The Prodigy
Pearl Jam
SG is a small place... small venues, small crowds. But it is a stopping off place for big-bands on regional tours.
... it's an opportunity to see the big-beasts up close and personal.
(example: I saw Deep Purple playing a club down on Clarke Quay - how nuts is that)

‘I suddenly realised,
I wouldn’t be going to work again,
freak that, I haven’t got an employer, I work for myself.
This isn’t work, I’m having a laugh.
And I’m just going to take the piss.'

Mungo Jerry - In The Summertime ORIGINAL 1970
I remember my dad bringing this '45 home one day. It was weird, wacky, eclectic... it still is!

Yeah, 'you'll' think this just some pop song... until, you try and sing it. Then you'll understand the incredible talent behind it. This is what I love, not the public nature of karaoke, but how much it teaches you privately about the intimacies of a song.
p.s. I always run out of steam and revert to Ozzy, Motorhead or Iron Maiden, there's no way I can do Morten H: Hey, it's all about having fun hehe...
