Hahaha.... what an eclectic mix that was!
p.s. still listening in the background. That Temper Trap song is insanely catchy without being pukingly candied.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Here's another 'pop' song that I find rather catchy:
Golden Bloom - You Go On (& On)

Any mood for a feel-good song from the 90's?
That Thing You Do by The Wonders
Been studying the tabs - and the beat got stuck in my head!

And John Cooper Clark. His 'stream of thought' stuff (readings) are fantastic, the guy is a genius.
I assume you're a Brit to be linking this stuff ?

Yeah mate.
I like the comment in the JCC clip: "Anyone who can get Ernest Borgnine into a lyric is a genius in my book." I agree.
There was an excellent BBC documentary recently about him:
John Cooper Clarke Documentary: The Bard of Salford, Part One
Part 2
Part 3
Actually there was a TV documentary too, but I could only find the radio programme.

The bassline starts out sounding 'very Pete Townsend' to me*. But wow in general, I've not heard this for years
* haven't time to check, but together with the lead, almost lifted off My Generation? Who cares. Nothing in music can claim to be original...

Joy Division - Love Will Tear Us Apart (Video)
Perhaps I've jinxed myself to now hear Pete in everything lol.... but check out this original version of Love Will Tear Us Apart.
I'm genuinely shocked as I know the song v well and have never noticed that before. Time for my pills and a lie down maybe..... Nurse!!!
