PINK FLOYD ASTRONOMY DOMINE 1967
'"Astronomy Domine" is a song by British psychedelic rock band Pink Floyd.
The song, written and composed by original vocalist/guitarist Syd Barrett, was the first track featured on their debut album, The Piper at the Gates '

An interesting/obscure recording, generally pretty far out! Apparently one of the very few filmed recordings of PF with SB at the helm.

Liked them for many a year. Always thought they're very chilled out ambient etc ...
[absolute A1 recording/tech, if you put this through a hifi that can render it].

'Caravan - In The Land Of Grey And Pink (Full Album)'
-------- 'Caravan are an English band from the Canterbury area, founded by former Wilde Flowers members David Sinclair, Richard Sinclair, Pye Hastings and Richard Coughlan in 1968.[1] The band have not achieved much commercial success, but are considered a key part of the Canterbury scene, blending psychedelic rock, jazz and classical influences to create a distinctive sound.
The band were originally based in Whitstable, Kent, near Canterbury, but moved to London when briefly signed to Verve Records. After being dropped by Verve, the band signed to Decca Records, where they released their most critically acclaimed album, In the Land of Grey and Pink in 1971.' https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caravan_(band)
Another of those bands that was for me something friends' older brothers or uncles had in their record collections.
Interesting it goes back to the English prog-rock 'Canterbury Scene', of which Brah is something of a SME. Only a few tracks in, but it seems very accomplished and tight for the time.

I came upon a Caravan album recently (in the last year or so) to get familiar with them, but with all the life changes happening, don't think I got to listen to it all the way through, and these things take more than one listen. Plus Caravan have a large back catalog so it's hard to know where to start.
Having said that, I may be mistaking Caravan for Camel, as they are 2 from a similar time which I never really checked out.
Having done an obligatory holiday post, will just throw this one out there, though I expect it probably wouldn't mean to many here what I meant to me back in the day....
I have discovered a british group Clean Bandit, really love them now! They are travelling around with concerts, they will be in Kuala Lumpur in May, and I am going to be there

Should be feasible since many kids in schools study music and musical instruments, so parents would need to be instruments or have coaches to teach....
