Re: Music
An extension of the concept of a man-cave, a 2010/+'s equitable-cave?

Re: Music
Sometimes I like a song, but when I karaoke it I still like it but realise it's actually not that hard to at least give it a shot [example: Black Sabbath/Ozzy, etc]. Other times I try and am blown away at how hard they are, however simple they superficially might sound [example: Steve Winwood, Cream, A-ha, etc]. Karaoke is not only fun, I find it a valuable channel to really understanding a song and it's composition.
An extension of this is cover versions of songs. Sometimes the cover teaches you more than the original did, and so they compliment each other. Here's one I came across today, of an old favourite of mine (on maaany years). My God the cover is loyal and accurate, but having the rare chance of seeing the finger-work behind it just makes me respect the original musician[s] more. Quite something.

'This Ludicrous New Instrument Makes Music with 2,000 Marbles'
Yes, it's quite amazing
[Most amused to see the tune enter the it's compositional break-down stage, by him pulling a lever marked 'brake-down'.... clever in-joke... ]

'Propellerheads - On Her Majesty's Secret Service HQ HD'
The potential of the output quality on this one is pretty much only limited by the quality of the gear you put it through. Don't come across so super-wide frequency range recordings like this often. Even at modest volume stuff in my room starts rattling

'Mance Lipscomb pt 1'
[Early 50s [?] Blues - interesting as it's so pared back and early style. But the songs are perennial, the track at 5:40m has been covered by The Animals etc]
