Good you are keeping this thread going JR8, I find myself coming to the forum less and less these days, so good to see it is still alive.

Happy New Year Brah.
Music like cooking seems to be a constant journey of discovery; rarely a week goes by without some new thing to try and perhaps relish. Music also seems to stick with you; surprising how something like the previous linked still 'resonates' all these years later. Much like an expat posting, I don't think you ever shake it fully out of your system.
This afternoon's 'project' is trying to make apple-turnovers, hmmm, to spice the apple or not, cinnamon, cloves? And a bit like the linguistic challenge in Japan, how to divine cooking apples from eating-apples up at the shop... we'll see :)

One of the few bands I've seen that were so stoned they could barely stand up (Fleetwood Mac wins that prize). Despite which I've a soft-spot for this song, and a girl called Candy, very very bad, like an opiate herself...

'Pop star Madonna is set to perform in Singapore for the first time.
The police has confirmed that a licence has been issued for the concert.
The 57-year-old American singer was banned from performing her controversial Girlie Show World Tour here in 1993, when police said her performances in the tour show "border on the obscene... (and are) known to be objectionable to many on moral and religious grounds".'

[Ex The Daily Toilet-Roll].
Wow, SG has 'loosened up' enough to let Madonna in....

--- wow, that voice :)

I remember one (informed) commenter, John Peel or similar recounting, 'you heard him and thought he must have been 70/+ years old, then saw him and realised he was the same age as your grand-children...

Lemmy's funeral streamed. Starts in about 1/2hr.
Unorthodox, for sure, but wasn't he: Long live the spirit of this battler of an unorthodox man.

RIP Lemmy - Long live your spirit.
