First time I heard that song, I thought it was a Motown/soul type of singer. I like it though.

There are some interesting covers of that song.

---
ADELE - ROLLING IN THE DEEP (Metal Cover)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IdCRmO4lE7A
Check out this guys voice, and imagine being able to karaoke like that! Just wow...
---

Getting heavier...

---
Quite something, one guy playing keys, drums, 7-string lead, rhythm guitar, and 6-string bass! All of that mixed on top of her original vocals.
Charly Carretón - Adele - Rolling in the deep (Symphonic Metal Version)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fy6vHcgeJ3c
---

Heavier still... lol

---
Eyes of a Fallen Angel - "Rolling In The Deep" (Rock Metal Cover) {JR8: More Growling-metal IMHO}
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1_rwHfxZQbI
---

Possibly as far as one could take it...

---
One I might have posted before..... hehehe...
Amyst - Rolling In The Deep (Adele Screamo Metal Cover)

Yes you're right, it is a bit like Linkin Park.

So... hmmm ... listening ... yeah... 'angry pop' aimed at 15 year olds. Hmmm

If kids want to become emo about some music, better it be something worthy of it, like...
'Nine Inch Nails - Hurt (Live: Beside You In Time) (Explicit)'
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AvJKVKglIRs

That is too deep though I think for younger teenagers to deal with. There are some very heavy 1st hand themes in there. Even for me, it is like momentarily being warped to an... awfully wretched place.

Nine Inch Nails - Head Like A Hole

---------

Nine Inch Nails - Something I can never have (still)

...they aren't faking it (half of them are dead by now).... painful....
