'Johnny Rotten lets loose'

Makes me laugh. Not really 'letting loose', more just being honest.

The Prodigy - Omen (Live At Pinkpop 2010)

If I posted before sorry! Amuses me how Keith goes off primed to kill a section of the crowd...

p.s. Shame the vids of Prodigy playing Fort Canning are all amateur, as that was one hell of a night!

- Now being 'Of a certain age' I had to do with a picnic blanket rug 10yds back from the stage rather than getting stuck into the mosh-pit. Difficult, like a terrier that's eyed a rat but is on a leash :)

The Prodigy - Warriors Dance - Full Live Version

Probably about the closest you'll get to experiencing Prodigy in your front room.

A number of years ago my mother came home from a day out hunting (she hunts to beagles not hounds). I asked her where they'd been and she said rather whimsically 'An estate owned by a lovely chap called Steve, he said he was a musician'.

Only turns out to be Steve Winwood!

p.s. Cute as she had no idea who he was, nor cared, just that he was friendly and well mannered.

Benny Benassi - Satisfaction

I've had a decade long love-hate relationship with this song. It winds me up, but I also find it surprisingly clever and catchy (either in spite of, or because of it's simplicity)

John Lydon Interview Sky News 18th July 2010

Funny. Fat smug old bloke with plucked eyebrows interviews John Lydon.
--------------------------------

JL. My mum and dad raised me quite improperly, with the basic philosophy of 'be yourself son', and I have been.

FatBloke. And you think that's improper [smug look]?

JL. Yes, it is to your lot [bigger smug look].

I have an issue with music like this, and TBH most modern pop music. It is not about the music, it is about 'Look at me me me', and 'give me your $'.

Just my 2c.

(and yes I used to be into NWA and Dr. Dre, what 20 years ago now. At least back then it was keeping it somewhat real, as in it was protest music against the system)

Just to share one of my favourites...

Iron Maiden is actually way beyond my time (way before I was even conceived). But their music skills are what their legacy is built on, unlike some heavy metal wannabes these days...

Totally agree, a quality old-school heavy metal band. Maiden don't just have a tour bus and entourage of hangers on. They have their personal tour-757, and Bruce Dickinson the vocalist pilots it.

Now that's rock 'n roll! :)
