Hawkwind - Motorhead
Trivia/tangential:
Are Hawkwind the only band to release a song, that years afterwards, with a later and reformed line-up, they would name themselves after?

Dunno why, thought of this thread on the way back from work the other day and this old chestnut (where did that tired term come from anyway?) popped into my head.
I probably posted it before, gave me an excuse to hear it again, as I do every few years or so.
There are no words to describe this, except, Armageddon!

I think I've mentioned this before... per
http://www.northstandchat.com/showthrea ... rbil-story
This was originally reported in the US, and then picked up in the UK and published in 'Private Eye' the investigative cum satirical journal, in their 'Funny Old World' (bizarre press-clippings) column. That was in 1989, as I specifically remember almost dying laughing reading that one day at work, and sharing it with the colleagues I had at that time... [Same year/same column I read about the Darwin Award, and the guy driving a rocket-powered car into a cliff-face - though that one turned out to be an urban myth... a novel concept at that time]
In the version reproduced in Private Eye, the gerbil was named 'Faggot', something the North American media seem nervous to continue reporting. Curious given the context of the story, which I'd expect most to find far more offensive/revolting!

Yeah wowzer! Thanks for posting that. Even if not precisely your cup of tea, it informs you very well of a period of time in relatively modern music.
>>> Get suggested a link/learn something new/totally love it) or perhaps maybe not)/Thx peeps ;

it sounds like a post rock, primus/motorhead mash up but its a cool refreshing change from many other bands, i could load a few songs from this band on my playlist.

and here is primus , a typical punk band very similar to the lines of Red hot chilli peppers but they are a bit of progressive punk.

I was trying to find a track with a repeating lyric 'We are the children of the sun'. Probably on one of my Cafe del Mar 'chill-out' type compilations... no luck, but I did find this bangin' 4-chord track with *exceptional* recording quality, even through my PC.
