Rob Halford - Judas Priest Vocalist

Holy mother of God, that is amazing!!

Judas Priest were around before punk, and when I was still in school (looooong ago lol). Really great to see he's still banging it out with such style!

Thx for sharing... great.

p.s. Massive Attack. Yeah very different. Not mainstream, but music to listen to and contemplate ... their recordings (recording quality) are incredible. I have albums of theirs, and I'll play a certain song, not loud at all, and say, it will make one certain ornament on my Japanese staircase chest furiously rattle. Not all, not two, just one. It's pretty damned weird!! lol

Orbital - Halcyon On and On

Saltwater (Original) by Chicane

If you're in that mood, they're pretty cool. They vary from Electronica, to mostly very easy-going ambient.... not commercial populist bilge, it's definitely out of the box and merits thought....

[Orbital are a band that on the original pressings the recording is jaw-droppingly OUTSTANDING engineering, almost 3D!]

p.s. for example, just say, hearing that little 'kick-back' at c4.55m through a good hi-fi should be enough to make any grown audiophile squint, close his eyes, and nod to the rhythm ...

Chicane - Offshore (Ambient Mix)

Good CD (if you get a good recording of it). Can really give your hi-fi a hell of a work out... !

Another performer who never really crossed by radar (I know his name, and that's it). I suppose I never used to listen to radio stations that would have played that kind of stuff.

I can see he's technically very good, but it's not really quite my kind of thing. In a way it reminds me of Carlos Santana, incredibly talented, but I'd enjoy the music more if there was less attention on the lead guitar (I also find the latter's studio albums rather clinical and soul-less, perhaps ironically...)

Thx anyway, I can't say I've ever seen a recording of him before.

A nice/classic 2:55 long new wave track (live). A sort of classic of what was to come, but big plus, they COULD PLAY.
