Woof. He's not Animal or Neil Peart.... but it's nice.

Man in the Box is probably their "anthem" if you will (song everyone knows).JR8 wrote:Thank you, they are a '94/95 Seattle grunge band.... and yet I've never had them cross my radar....!?[Jeez, I even saw Pearl Jam play the Singapore Indoor Stadium, near on 20 years ago now...].
Nice anecdote. Funny how support bands tend to fly by the seat of their pants. Death or glory eh!!
p.s. Alice In Chains, a band that never really crossed my radar. Could you perhaps post a 1.01 representative vid/link? I'd be very interested to hear it...

Some music that wasn't as much mainstream but some good grooves. I listen to this kind of stuff all the time.
Fun Loving Criminals (their videos are pretty funny too)
Scooby Snack:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_mx4vyO9FpU
Too Hot: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4werZIRI_Oc
Sidenote: FLC's biggest hit was Scooby Snack but because the sampled part of the movie Pulp Fiction that they used for song intro, they gave up most of the royalties to the song.
Another gem of a song with nice guitar at the end:
Sammy Hagar's 'Eagle's Fly':
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MlZNWckpKT8
Great blues rock:
Johnny Lang's 'Still Rainin'->

I had Tubular Bells (c75?) which in some ways was quite engaging for that period; but in retrospect it is more 'Look at me, isn't it amazing how many instruments I can play!'.
One could argue that it was precisely the extreme musical self-indulgence of that period (prog-rock etc), that invited and crystallised the cleansing of the The Augean Stables that followed: the punk era.

Ha ha.... was looking for a vid of this. When I found it, I find '94 coincides precisely with my 1st stint in SG (and antagonising my neighbours)

I've currently got "Total Science & S.P.Y Feat Riya & DaM FunK - Piano Funk " on constant repeat. Though give it a week or so and I'll be sick to death of it, you know how it is.
