Singapore is very much an urban area. You will buy things with either a merlion or an orchid on them.
If your country allows you to bring back flowers, you could try an orchid.
Or batik material, though indonesia does better. But if you like the Singapore Girl look you can buy the outfit the flight attendents wear in batik.
The cityscape does look nice, especially at night. Look for prints of that perhaps.

Roam the Chinatown area. You're bound to bump into something interesting.

I'd send her a picture of you by the beach, beer in hand, with a note stating: 'I'm not coming home anytime soon, so keep yourself busy and don't forget to pay the bills'!!

anything that has Merlion on it or a "FINE" t-shirt, which are famous as souvenir gift items. Go to Chinatown or Bugis, you can find a lot of cheap products there.

I'd recommend something to do with Orchid or perhaps a T-Shirt from Singapore.
Nothing that special in Singapore other than our Orchid and Merlion.

Tangs has a nice selection of household, home décor items, flowers, if you are intending to do gifting. They have an online shop now.

Since they're your friends, you can give them a gift that you think they need or will use every day :) Practical but functional.
