Tax Dividend Inc. & Capital Gains of Employee Stock Opti

Post by FaeLLe » Fri, 10 Jun 2011 3:57 pm

Hello all,

I am getting Employee Stock options issued to me in Ireland. These are being held in an offshore brokerage account with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney in Bermuda.

Under Singapore and Dividend double taxation evasion treaty am claiming Tax Benefits for dividend income.
My HR sells some of the stocks and uses that to pay off Irish tax deducted at source.

If I get this income remitted to Singapore do I have to pay again any idea? I am guessing not since this has been taxed anyway.

How about capital gains when I sell this stock?? Tax implications?
As far as I know Bermuda does not have any capital gains tax.

Any idea if I need to pay tax on these if the revenue is remitted to Singapore?
