Maid agency (Value Employment Services Pte Ltd) feedback

Post by RashmiJK » Thu, 09 Jun 2011 10:38 am

Please, can any one tell me any feedback about Value Employment Services Pte Ltd, Upper Serangoon Road? Planning to hire a maid from this agency. Had anyone experienced bad service from them? do they have any bad records? Your inputs are very much helpful for me.
Thanks

MOM publishes such info at

http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=w ... kQ&cad=rja

Take the MOM list with a pinch of salt, as an agency friend of mine, who knows of a competitor who is into all funny business said 'not having demerit points can also mean, they haven't been caught .. ' and the friend refused to even reveal the competitor .. and on another case, when a friend of mine had problem with a runaway maid, and when I consulted the agency friend, her answer was "well, I shall not rat on my competitor, but, the employer should notify MOM .. "

The MOM numbers are not far off the truth ..

@ ecureilx
Thanks.
Looking through MOM records was the primary thing I did when started hunting for a maid :)
I completely agree when you say "not having demerit points can also mean, they haven't been caught .. ". Trying to find out if any one caught this agency and forgot to report to MOM :? . even that kind of feedback is also helpful for me :D

And those who have demerit points are not always the evil ones ..

You do sound like my ex-boss, who chose the agency and then was trying to find if they are good or bad ..

And my answer to him applies to you : if you don't trust them, don't deal with them .. look for an agency recommended by your trusted friends ..

After all, even with the best process in place, the agencies are not 100% reliable. They are not fortune tellers to predict how a maid will behave, once she has left the comfort of her home ..

And I mentioned elsewhere, while helping an agency here, the kind of 'demands' placed by maids asking for transfer .. and the agent can only smile and tell me "a year ago, they were happy, and now they don't want to work for married employer and want to look for a bachelor .. and the like .. "

"if you don't trust them, don't deal with them .. " very true.
all i'm asking agent is, to know why the maid quit her earlier employment. very common question. she says if you don't pay money by end of today i will place her somewhere else. doubt to trust.

Ah .. you are looking for a transfer maid ?? :D :D

Well, the prudent agent refuses to handle maids they don't feel the 'love' ... and the agents desperate for money, and business, fails to vet the maid ..

Getting deep into the history of the maid, as to whether she was terminated, and the employers, unlike Singapaporeans being painted as heartless, I know not 1 minute minority do bother to write to MOM, and a majority just release the maid .. and the cause of the termination too goes into the deep hole.

So .. getting a maid, especially a transfer maid, is not a written science .. :D

or did I confuse you further .. ??? :D :D
