Help! reputable hospital/doctor for Electromyogram (EMG) ?

Post by paperlec » Wed, 08 Jun 2011 9:54 am

Last month, I got some accident which I first thought was only minor, but later affected the peripheral nerves system of my left foot. I'm now suffering from a minor (still, but uncomfortable) paralysis and disabilities on the affected area.

I have only recently moved from the States, and was wondering if anyone knows a decent hospital/doctor with experience in peripheral nerves system and rehabilitation. Plus, for this I would first need to get electromyogram. If anyone could recommend some good places to start, regardless the cost, I'd appreciate it.

SGH general hospital, around $100 for specialist consultant. Though I would recommend investing in the

Heat & pulse massage, on the meridian lines, worked a miracle for me. After 3 months use I didn't need the operation on both knees, after cartilage collapse, mountain running which showed up on CT scan, so i saved 1000's of $, that is more than 5 years ago and i still use my machine today, for stress related issues, sprains, and muscle soreness

It uses 85 variations of electronic pulse and is used in many hospitals too for the recovery of sensation. Sounds like you have trapped nerves!

You might want to check out NOBEL Healthway Medical clinics in Singapore. They do speciality for Cardiology.

Dr. Soon Chao Yang is located Mount Alvernia Hospital as well as Gleneagles Medical Centre.

Hope this helps

Mike,

I'm going to leave this just this once, but considering you are plumping your own company, it's considered advertising and not a recommendation as you have an interest in the business (granted they may only be your employer but it is a vested interest anyway). We don't allow advertising - or maybe you should see one of your specialists opthamologists as you didn't manage to see the bright orange banner above where you posted your message.

Oh, you IP address gave you away, if you are wondering.......

i actually recommend visiting a neurologist, especially if you are aren't a young chap...

there're enough neurologists in singapore that you can happily choose from. check out this website and select Neurology and hey presto!
