Earlier, when I first receive this news, I was like, WTF! Wife..., Prostitute...?

I told myself.. cannot be.. Coz I know one of the person in that Club.

And so, putting what the medias have been reporting, I chose to ask them inperson myself. Quite a long disscussion we had. And some statements mentioned in the papers n press were interpreted wrongly. Indeed this matter is a very very sensitive issue which may relate to religious matter. For eg. other religions may also not accept how Muslims slaughter animals.

I've ever worked as a Private Taxi operator before in 2002 and at times when we have coffee sessions some uncles shared their personal experiences when they went to Batam or Geylang. I did asked them before whether do they have wife at home? And even asked them why they have to find alternative to release their desire..?
Simply they say, "Haiya...., at home, we are too old already to be entertained and our wives are busy with their grandchildren and house chores. Where got time for us... Nowadays it doesnt work on us.. Only those at Batam can fulfil our desire."I was speechless.

Hope we dont depend on the press too much. Lets do our own investigations and asked the organisers directly. Best to have a mediator to be fair as having one sided guest will not be balanced.

Fyi, this club is founded by a lady. Initially, I really thought a man setup this club.

Generally, since Global Ikhwan chose to publicise this matter, I wont say no but it will be quite awkward for us husbands try to hint our wife. For eg., if I were to persuade my wife to be a member, definetely she will feel disappointed. Feeling has she not being obedient or satisfy her husband all this while? As for me, I wont even hint to her. Since it has already gone internationally, it takes a muslim wife to decide. If she feels her relationship with her husband n family is ok, then its simply one choice.

My point is, this Club I feel better for those wife who got relationship issues with their husband. Else, just let this club pass by. A Muslim Scholar(Mufti) in Perak has already endorsed it.(maybe, he got issue-who knows hehehe..)

ps. i dun think other religion has this sexuality prob with their spouses unlike us muslims. maybe, one may feel dirty, shy or what, i have no idea...

for me, my relationship is A-OK. hehe..

Clearly the onus must be on the women to step up their game. Maybe the wives are simply no longer interested in a man who wants to be satisfied without looking for their wives' satisfaction in return. Or are women just supposed to get that from their chores and grandchildren?

I suppose the men who would endorse this club would be happy if their wives were to satisfy their desires elsewhere also? Fair is fair, right?

I think they are missing the point, even if you could train your wife to act like a first class pro, "The grass is always greener" problem will crop up. Hubby will then have a craving for the geeky accountant type who hasn't got a clue.

This cheap publicity seeking COWs ( Club of Obedient Wives ) as it is better known now in Malaysia was founded by Hatijan Aam, wife of deceased president of the banned Al-Arqam movement based in Malaysia. Al-Arqam was declared a deviant group by the Federal Government of Malaysia in 1994.

Muslimat head Siti Zailah Mohd Yusof said such description of women had "crossed the limit" and smacked of insult to Islam.

Zailah reminded that Islam had come to uplift the status of women, adding that the emphasis on the respectable position of women was such that a whole chapter in the Qur'an is named "An-Nisa" (Women).

"Islam has given women a respectable status. It says that paradise lies at the feet of the mother. Telling wives to behave like prostitutes is just crossing the limit," Zailah told Harakahdaily.

A recent news report quoted a spokeswoman of a newly-established cult calling itself 'Obedient Wives Club', telling women that their poor treatment of their husbands in matters of sex was a factor which encouraged some men to frequent prostitutes and indulge in adulterous affairs.

Saying that Islam advocates the mutual responsiblities of a husband and wife, Zailah, who is also Rantau Panjang member of parliament, said the group had only succeeded in painting a wrong perception about Islam especially to non-Muslims.

"They (non-Muslims) might get the impression that Islam degrades women and enjoins a wife to behave like a prostitute," Zailah said.

Well, it isn't all that bad.

An obedient wife who's more skilled than a prostitute makes for less overtime hours at work.

You won't be watching much tv, and the lights will be off (except for the red lantern hanging next to the ceiling mirror), so you're also saving electricity.

Being waited on hand and foot, foot and back rubs on tap... it is a rather pleasurable existence.
