I Need to Get Rid of a Couch (and Matching Two Seater)

Post by Strong Eagle » Sun, 05 Jun 2011 5:40 pm

They were left when the other tenants moved out. So ugly they will make you cry.

Don't recommend Salvation Army... they have already looked and laughed... will not pick up.

Friendly neighborhood junk men do not want.

So how? How do I get rid of a functional (mostly) but really ugly and saggy couch and two seater? What do I have to do? Chop it up and pour chunks of it into the trash over a few weeks? Throw it into Rochor canal late one night?

You should have no problems finding a company that will pick it up and dispose for $S30-50.

Advertise it for free on Craig's List. I too, am facing a similar problem. Seriously downsizing and have tons of stuff to cast off. Have made 8 trips to the Salvation Army already, and their pick-up service is a joke. They will only accept flat panel TVs for donation

Honestly, Craig's List. First one to come and get it keeps it.

So... name me a 'no problem' company... especially the '$30-50' variety.

Thanks.

We used one to dispose a pretty large X-mass tree. I picked the number from our condo message board but did not save it. Sorry. Google gives dozens of links to such companies. Hard to believe you can not find anything. One of the first links:
