No academic qualifications, DP, would like part time job

Post by damianb71 » Wed, 01 Jun 2011 12:50 pm

When we eventually get a helper and both children are at school, my wife would quite like to work part-time (probably starting around September time). She worked full time in UK, first as a letting agent for 8 years, then running an office for an interior designer. Concerned that with no academic qualifications she would not get a look-in. Does anyone have any tips? Cheers

As long as she's willing to work for local salary scale, she will be able to work for any employers so long as they want to hire her and they don't mind her working on a Letter of Consent (LoC). The LoC is tied directly to your EP and will expire and renew with your EP. In this way, she doesn't have to meet any MOM academic qualifications for any particular position, so it's just up to the company to decide whether they want her and will apply for the LoC.
