Best Gyms near, (but not in), City Square Mall

Looking for a good gym that has a better than average assortment of weights, dumbells, benches and universal machines. Would also like to know about pricing so I don't have to waste my time going through the whole routine with the gym membership folks. Needs to be near the Farrer Park MRT by City Square Mall. I didn't like the vibe at the gym in the mall so hope to hear your thoughts about others nearby.
