The software shows VAT, and not GST !!!New_Global_Trader wrote: ...
There's a difference? For a non GST trader (under 1 million in turnover), no GST accounting is necessary. If a shop charges a $1.07 with GST, they keep it all. For over 1 million, GST takings must be submitted with an accounting so every tax invoice must have a corresponding GST account.ecureilx wrote:The software shows VAT, and not GST !!!New_Global_Trader wrote: ...
Does it support GST ? from the specs, I guess not ..
I learn something everyday.Strong Eagle wrote:At the same time, GST paid for goods and services bought is deductible from total GST owed... so all purchase transactions must also have a GST GL account. This is why I say, "what's the difference" because in most countries VAT payments are handled the same way.

This software supports GST. When you create a new company, you get option to select GST, give your GST no. and give a default tax rate.

I have had some brushes with Tally ..New_Global_Trader wrote:Hi.
This company is competing with the one of the most popular accounting software in India called "Tally".
Due to this reason they offer a free version of their software, so that in future, companies will buy the multi-user version of this software.
Please create a dummy company, feed some invoices, purchases, receipts, payments and try to pull some reports.
Your feedback for other users will be much appreciated.
Also, if you use this software, please take regular backup (just to be on a safer side).

RG
P.S. I am not a vendor /related with this software
