Singaporeans with Canada PR - Can my baby boy travel to SG ?

Post by infiniticanada » Wed, 25 May 2011 9:20 pm

Dear All,

Carrying over a topic i posted in another thread (I figure this is the right forum..) -- thanks Mad Scientist for your initial reply.

I am in a dilemma right now.. and here is my situation :

My wife and I are Singaporeans with Canadian PRs. We are both residing in Canada. Recently, we gave birth to a baby boy - as such my baby boy is Canadian citizen by birth.

My baby boy is now 3 months old and we are planning to bring him to Singapore to spend some time with our aged parents. My baby boy will have a Canadian Passport and I do not intend to register his birth with Singapore as yet.

Urgent questions... would like to know my options :

How long can my baby (Canadian Passport) stay in Singapore? Can he stay 6 - 7months in Singapore? I read somewhere that there is some sort of “Right of Entry”
