Anyone for Barocay (Beach) weekend getaway in July?

Post by puppyluvxoxo » Mon, 23 May 2011 7:08 pm

A couple of us ladies are planning a getaway to Barocay in July. Anyone interested? we're looking at a group, ard 4-6 pax or more.

we're looking at the weekend of either
22nd-24th/25th Jul or
29th Jul-31st Jul or 1st Aug.
We're trying to schedule it so that we don't need to take any leave or perhaps take half or 1 day's leave but you're welcome to stay longer.

PM or email me Adrenaline_B@yahoo.com or reply to this post

Cheers!!

P.S. "B" was for babe, not B*tch

I would say it is not realistic to plan a trip to Boracay over such short dates. You need to fly to either Manila or Cebu, and transfer another domestic flight to Caticlan (easiest). Once you reach Caticlan, you need to catch another ferry to Boracay. The two flights plus ferry will take up almost 8-12 hours, depending on how you book your flights & ferry.

Have you consider the amount of time spent to and fro? You girls should plan for a longer trip!

FYI, June-Aug: start of the typhoon season. YMMV, though.

@Girl-Next-Door
Thks for yr advice! Yes I'd been considering 1-2 days' leave, but we really don't have any left. anywy decided to take 1 day on Fri and I have Monday to travel to Manila so that's 4 days altogether. just realised tt i need to work on national day holiday so all's good.=)

we had been trying to coordinate the transfer timings for the flights. need to look at the ferry soon as well.

@Nakatago
thks for your reminder! yes i had checked out the monsoon season sometime ago. My friend is leaving SG, returning to NY for good in Aug so this is her last chance. I'll be in manila for work so it seemed like a good opportunity.

Hi all
Update: we have 7-9 so far. departing sg on either 21 evening or 22Jul and arriving in manila on Monday afternoon 25 Jul. We'll be meeting this sat ard 5.30pm if anyone's keen to join us. We'll make the bookings or at least planning if the offices in the Phils are closed. We'll book/travel together (more fun) or separately no probs.=)

Philippine business hours are M-F, 0800-1700. They'll probably be closed but you may luck out and run into an open one (so keep an internet connection real handy). Highly unlikely, though. Anyway, you ladies have fun.
