employment with government agency

Post by lonelysin » Thu, 19 May 2011 7:12 am

Hi,

I got a job offer with a government agency. They emailed me saying they want to hire me with the salary package.

They then asked me to make a trip down to verify all my documents and certificate. I went down to see them but they did not show me or ask me to sign any employment offer letter.

They said they will apply the pass for me. I asked them what type of pass and they said EP. They ask me go back and will arrange medicals for me in 2 weeks time.

My question is how come 2 weeks? I thought they can just arrange me to go to the nearest specialist for medicals? Also, the package is over 2.5K which I assume an EP/P2 will be issue. From my understanding, there will be no medicals for EP/P2 pass.

Any comments?
