Clothing Repairs

Post by QueenMinnie » Tue, 10 May 2011 1:31 pm

I need to get a couple of my husbands work pants altered and mended, and I can't find anywhere that does it. Does anybody have any recommendations? Thanks!

If you are not an 'expat' class person, every town center has a tailorinig shop .. which area do you stay in ?

PS: I initially read it as 'couple of husbands' :D :D

Hehehe.... I read it like that too! :)

My wife and I used a place in Far East Plaza. I can't recall it's name but if you went in up the steps to the 'upper ground' floor, walk towards the stairwell, take the corridor going down to your left. Walk down there maybe 50 metres, and in the small cross-corridor to your right you will see a tiny shop just a few metres along on the left. The place is tiny, but the service was good.

Alternatively Google on 'singapore "far east plaza" clothing alterations' and try your luck, there do seem to be others.

Well, I went to Far East yesty, and found a little shop on the 4th floor. He fixed the pants for only $1! Have to road test the pants first, but if the stitching lasts for a bit, I will be going back!

Ah good stuff. Shame you couldn't find the place I suggested but I admit that at times I find it hard to locate despite knowing pretty well where within the labyrinth it is :)

Sorry matey, can't remember. All I remember is that its a tiny cupboard sized shop near a few nail salons. When I go back I'll find out which number it is. :)
