No HDB apartments has a pool. Only private condos and HDB Executive condos has one. Big difference.
Most locals lives in HDB apartment albeit Flats. Public pools are nearby .

We are moving to Singapore in July, so basically I don't know a damn thing about it. I will say that you can do searches for properties on this site and can filter your search by district and I believe price. There are other sites on the internet, which I will not name out of respect, that can help fill in the gaps left on this site (like pictures, additional info given by agents, etc.).

There is also a taxi fair calculator (http://www.taxisingapore.com/external/t ... alculator/) that will then give you an idea of how much transportation will cost. MRT info can be found on their site. From what I've been told, S$800 a month for food sounds a bit light for a family of four. And find out if there are unpaid costs for your kids' schooling like bus fees, uniforms, books and required laptops or other equipment. That may not be covered.

Good luck!

Not easy to find a 2 bedroom condo for $2500 a month. I assume you are looking at condos and not apartments (difference being facilities).

It will have to be somewhere in the outskirts, Bukit Panjang or Yishun, etc. These places are rather far from the city. If you don't drive and work in the city, that will mean you will have to make use of the world crush transport to get to work/school. For that price, you may have to make do with older condo.

it really pisses me off when on forums, i see people asking for advice and you get cheeky cunts who will always moan and bring nothing constructive. forums like this, where there are lots of key board warriors, who get very cheeky and with "phd in english language" will go off topic on grammar and using the search function....

What was it you were saying about 'bringing nothing constructive'? Are you talking about your two posts today perhaps?

p.s. Which parts of the above thread caused you such offence? Talking of offence your language is the most gutter-mouthed that I have encountered on this forum. Since there are doubtless minors here, can I suggest you edit it out?

Used this forum a while back and gained nothing but silly comments to my questions and at the time, things were quite hard for me. But now that i have the leisure to write back, I think that some people on here need to reconsider their approach to helping others and have a bit more empathy. I think that this forums if sull of arrogant scumbags and all have some superiority complexe ....

No, JR8, he's talking about all three of his absolutely useless posts bringing absolutely noting constructive to the forum at all. Except, of course, his foul language (if you could call it constructive - unfortunately, destructive is a better word) Wonder if he talks like that to his kids? But then again, we can't expect much from those who crawl out from under rocks.

aargon, the median household income in Singapore is just about 5200/mo. That's with both parents working, mind you. But as you know, we get lots of moaning monkeys on her at times. Sometimes they even come back. With chips on both shoulders! ;-) I personally think sometimes we are paragons of restraint, don't you?

Sure I do, I've got two of them. They keep pretty good time as well as being fairly inexpensive. If you don't know, they are made by Swatch. You might want to get yourself one and set the alarm to wake you up in another couple of months to see if you manage to crawl out from under your rock on the right side next time.

Nah, you won't get banned for that, but you very well might get banned for vulgar language though. Education didn't do anything for your vocabulary did it. Your paper qualifications do not hide your poor upbringing very well.

Don't know about your upbringing... do know that your posts don't contribute anything... you'll eventually get yourself banned.

But tell me, why is it you feel the need to post on this board from a London IP? Get your EP rejected?
