Post by fatmouse76 » Fri, 06 May 2011 12:07 am

There are so many Agencies out there
but can you please share which agency did you get your live in maid from and do give some feedback about the agency

This will at least give me some ideas on which agencies to go for

great thanks

121 Personnel Services Agency in Orchard Road is very good one. I found my two good maids there.

Hi thanks for the reply. I went to their website but cant seem to see the maids online biodatas. And the maid salaries are all above $500.

Anyone tried Universal Employment or even www.lucky.com.sg

Thanks

Well, I don't remember the OP asking for an "expat" maid, that's all. Unless, like me, you are classifying Filipino & Indo maids as expats. In the context of FDW's normally you wouldn't refer to them as expat maids, and the only expats maids I've ever heard about here were called nannies and damned difficult to find and not sure you could even get one on a WP in the first place as they are not from traditional sources. So, while still smarting from the whupping Aljunied took last night, I'm still puzzled over your "expat maid" remark.

Or are you talking about a maid who has experience working for expats previously?

And it takes from 11th of April until now, with all the maid agencies here I don't see the difficulty at all, unless you are looking for a transfer maid on an expat forum.

The person made reference to over $ 500 a month which was too much. Many agencies are pumping the $500 minimum wage now, though not legally bound, most of the Indonesian maids are aware of the minimum $500 a month, and want it. It's quite a jump from the 350, they had only 2 years ago.

I can imagine locals are not wanting to pay $500 for an Indonesian maid. Though I don't see it as a problem, other than the employer may have to earn more, why not just pay it and be done with, as the maids costs are increasing too. Not forgetting the the cash gahman gave back to the locals for votes, and rising costs.

I also believe the agents are the instigators of the sharp increase, and obviously all maids are not equal in skills, that's for sure, though we had to train our own maid to a standard we were happy with.

Hi,

Well I just got my helper (filipino) through a friends recommendation and used iBest maid agency (ibest0281 [[email protected]]). The manager is Eric Lin. Great service and so far quite happy with the helper.

There is another Filipino candidate who I had interviewed but who was only available after 6 weeks. If you are interested I can pass her contact to you.

Cheers!

Experienced Maid Available for Transfer Sept 2011

Post by vidshelley » Tue, 05 Jul 2011 10:25 pm

Hi,

My Filipino maid is available for transfer in Sept / Oct 2011.

She has been with us for almost 4 years, has a quiet and patient personality. She is honest, cooks local Chinese food relatively well and has great housekeeping skills. Wonderful with young children too.

I've decided to be a SAHM so do not need her services now. She will be on home leave soon and I would like to help her secure an employer before she goes on home leave. Her WP expires end Nov 2011.

Pls email me at [email protected], or post your interest. We'll engage a reliable agent to do up the paperwork.

Really quite a nice girl. Do consider if you need a transfer maid.

Cheers
