I've looked all over but there doesn't seem to be an actual Apple store in Singapore, just authorized dealers. Is this true or are my google skills faulty? I really need the genius bar right now! Does anyone know of a good mac repair place that's not overpriced? I got my mac fixed for free while I was home at the genius bar even though it is waaay past warranty, but I guess that won't happen here. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

There's a Mac repair place on the top (or second from top) level of Sim Lim, but depending on what needs doing you might want to consider just getting a new one (something I wish I would have done instead of replacing the darn hard drive on the Air).
You can also do a lot of the stuff yourself and there are plenty of vids online showing you how to replace the most common parts that fail.
What exactly do you need done?

Apple uses Authorised service centres in Singapore. So if your computer was under warranty you need to call the Apple Support phone number, then talk through your problem on the phone. The call centre techie then logs a job in the system and creates a job number. If you do this, then go into the authorised service centre, they can pick up the job and fix what you need and you do not get charged.
As there is no Apple Retail store here, only authorised resellers, there are no genius bars. You can visit a service centre, but you are likely to need to pay and may need to leave the computer with them.
What is the problem you are having?
The alternative is to get a mac savvy friend to help you out.

My macbook is 5 years old and i've replaced the hard drive twice so. Probably time to move up to an Air! Is it better to get one back in the US next time I go back, I imagine they're overpriced here!

You can check the prices on Apple's online store for Singapore and the US and see if the difference is significant enough for you to wait and make your purchase back home.
I was just checking the prices for the iPad2 and even though the US is cheaper, the price here is still very attractive. Especially when compared to pricing in the UK or Australia.

I took my macbook to a place in Wheelock Place. It's listed as an apple service provider and I think they also sell Apple hardware.
