SinghisKing wrote:Hi,
I am an Indian Expat precisely from Delhi, in my late 20's.. Off late I have seen, learnt and experienced that some of the dating, casual encounters and romancing forums/websites do not pay much heed to what Indians are posting. HA HA HA. I just wanted to know the reason behind this since I am new to Singapore Expat Forums too and I signed in to know the response from the expats, be it Indians, Chinese or Westerners.
Just a true feedback and an honest response on how people generalize Indian behavior with a few rotten tomatoes that they happen to meet in past...
Thanks and Cheers for extended weekend

Well, existing stereotypes about Indian men would tend to influence your chances on dating forums. Also whether you're willing to accept it or not, most Indian men have double standards when it comes to "morality" apart from other things. And this kind of hypocrisy exists across "classes". Am an Indian woman and I can say from my own experience/s that this kind of mentality is a huge turn off.
For those who fight for it, life has a flavor the sheltered will never know.

I agree with ecureilx...."double like"
They can promise anything and everything and but end of the day guys from inida just dont have a say for their own lives and will follow what the parents say and marry a gal of their choice.
The worst things is guys from india happily fall in love with girls from Sg and will happy but the moment their parents can into the pic, they suddenly relise that girls from here are so modren and not like girls from their place and the list goes on.
And honestly, guys from india thinks that its easily to play with a gal here its as if they feel, grils here have no feeling and only girls from inida do.
WAKE UP!

I think the OP just decided to do a wind-up. He's made one posts and split.
Probably not even an Indian at all, although the responses are true enough.

My sentiment exactly. The longer this post has developed, the more I am inclined to agree.
The OP probably wasn't even Indian and wanted to stir things up. Most of the Indians come back spitting poison over anything that resembles criticism.
Unless of course he is simply too tired to check the replies, after following the advice passed to him and thus having a renewed love life!!

Yes. The operative word being "most".

Construction workers living on Construction Sites (Covid-19)
First post
They are now on a 28 day (14+14) stay-at-home notice.
Are these homes regulated? Do you think it matters / impacts spread of COVID?
Last post
Yes - I see them around me. I'd rather they were there than stuffed into dorms. Physical distancing is very important to stop the spread.
Sorry,...
