Commercial ligitation roles

Hi, my partner is a commercial litigator from a respected UK law firm and is trying to find a position here - I was offered a job here from the UK.

He's been here for a few months but is having trouble getting any traction with the recruitment agents he's contacted, who seem to be suggest there are jobs only for city lawyers from the UK or local lawyers but nothing in commercial litigation otherwise.

Does anyone either have suggestions for contacts/approaches worth pursuing or has been through this and has any other suggestions?

He is looking for in-house or within a Singapore/International firm here or any other role that would take advantage of his experience.
