The pizzas at Wala Wala at Holland Village are the best.... and not expensive + you can watch a live band playing while you eat.

Skinnies is NOT PIZZA

Post by ld_runner » Sat, 23 Apr 2011 3:54 pm

Hey Everyone.
First off I'm a New Jersey guy who knows a thing or two about Pizza. My stomping grounds as a kid is where the Sopranos were filmed. Hardly a qulaifier but none the less I do know a thing or two about pizza and not just New York Pizza. I traveled regularly to Italy for 20 years so I can support my claims on Pizza. I visited Skinnies (Suntec I believe) two years ago as it came highly recommended in an article written in a local ExPat magazine by a Chicago woman who claimed to be an expert. Needless to say it was the worst pizza ever. A glorified 12" taco like chip served cold with toppings. For the price charged per person the entire meal was a complete disaster.
By far the best pizza I have found (and it not cheap) is inside Pete's place in the basement of the Hyatt. Its a well established instiuitution here in SG with an impeccable reputaion for authentic Italian cuisine. There's not a bad dish on the menu. Its a delight to the senses. If anyone wants to join me I'm going there tonight. Looking forward to making some new friensds.

I really love to eat pizzza but you are right Skinny pizza is the best for me. They are very generous with the toppings which makes the pizzas filling, but yet healthy.
