Apply LTSVP for wife

Hi,
I'm a SPR. In the next 3 months I'm going to apply LTSVP for my wife (same nationality as mine). We are just-married couple since Feb this year. Did ROM in my home country. She is currently staying and working in my home country. Is it possible for her to come to Singapore for a few days to apply LTSVP then go back home during the processing time or she will have to stay in Singapore waiting for the result? If she goes back, will it have an impact on the application outcome? Since we are not 100% percent sure that the application will be approved, she do not want to give up her job there yet. Anybody has gone thru this before?

Try E-VP first and pay the fees incurred
If that fail you have to bring her to ICA and bring all the docs. Usually she can return back to her own country after the ICA visit but please seek advise from ICA officer there to get confirmation to that effect.
You can e-extend her stay as you can be her local sponsor to wait for the result as it take about 6 weeks
No it will not impact your application if she has to return back home as her visa might already expires by then and she cannot be allowed to stay illegally.
Do not give up her day job unless her application via E-VP has been approves and she has to make the trip to SG to show original docs.

I have better understanding now. However, I'm not sure about the procedure. After the e-VP application has been submitted, when do we need to submit all the required documents? Is it after 1 day, 2 days, 1 week or 2 weeks? Does the 6-week processing time mean after we have completed the e-VP application as well as submitted the required documents to ICA?
Another item I notice inside the required document list
Applicant’s Disembarkation/Embarkation (D/E) card with a valid Visit Pass granted on entry into Singapore
Does it mean they will keep the D/E card with the application? From what I understand a visitor will need that card when he/she wants to leave Singapore right? Does it mean the applicant has to stay in Singapore during the processing time? I'm confused now.

They will e-mail or sent to you via snail mail. 6 weeks is tops. Why do you worry about this variable period. It will come and it needs to come. Just wait it out. There is nothing you can do. To interprete into finer details will make you crazy. Submit the bloody thing first then go from there

Of course the D/E needs to be attached to your PP or should I say the other half retain by you. When you leave SG the D/E has to be return to ICA border control upon leaving SG.
Did you not read my earlier post on after application of LTSVP ?
Have you ever travel out of your country before ?
Do you carry any drugs while entering into SG ?
Do you have any criminal records over the last 7 years ?
Have you been barred from any country from entering ?
Yadda yadda yadda........the list goes on. Nothing in the form is confusing nor any of the forms. Just fill it up to the best of your knowledge and apply the damn thing. You are trying to second guess something out of nothing
