As a fresher, of course your can apply for an EPEC if your university degree is listed. But getting a job as a fresher in the current climate here is going to be rather difficult to say the least.

If you have the financial wherewithal to weather what might be a long and tedious affair trying to find something that the MOM will approve, then bring it on. The worst that can happen is you will have to return to either Ireland or India empty handed. But don't let that stop you. :-|

Oh, one other thing, please have the courtesy not to use all CAPS. Unless you are deliberately shouting at us or deliberately being rude. Thanks.
SOME PEOPLE TRY TO TURN BACK THEIR ODOMETERS. NOT ME. I WANT PEOPLE TO KNOW WHY I LOOK THIS WAY. I'VE TRAVELED A LONG WAY, AND SOME OF THE ROADS WEREN'T PAVED. ~ Will Rogers

Erm yeah, I wouldn't bother trying to get a job in Singapore, if you're incapable of finding out even the most basic facts on your own in this day and age (ever heard of google?) then I doubt companies in Singapore are going to be queuing up for your signature. Better to go back to India and work there, as based on the posts on this forum a lack of common sense and research ability seems to be common there yet it doesn't stop people getting jobs

I think its a case of the Indian population being so huge. There are a herds and herds of IT workers there who are smart enough and do their own research, its a small minority of them who are jerks who show up on forums like these. But due to the shear size of the population, even though its a small fraction, who are jerks, its a lot in absolute number

Another thing is these jerks are english literate and hence can post such comments here. But those from most other developing countries cant even do that :P

Yeah as I thought, not the sharpest tool in the box. Comes on asking for help them proceeds to go off at the deep end and insult everyone. What an asset you will be for Singapore Sir

:o

I've suggested before that there seems to be something of a common theme of Indian IT guys who turn up here asking for help. But they don't just want tips, or told how to find their answers, they want to be spoon-fed and have their ar$es wiped.

When their demands aren't met, they go nuts and abuse everyone.

... and so it happens again!

@Sreekar; Before you start jumping on everyone here and start spraying unkind words to us, those that replies to you have assisted many here that seeks helps and advise. Regulars here like newbies to help themselves by using the search button at the top right hand corner under the profile link. Your queries have been discussed at lengths in many threads. From there you can get a feel on how the job landscape in SG.
At this moment it does not sound good nor ideal especially coming from your background. Internship in Ireland and US does not say much to any employers here. Internship here is a different kettle of fish.
Jobs are scarce especially for FTs and freshie like you.
Going at us for telling you to help yourself to do the walking does not go far in this forum.
BTW we are here to stay so please do not tell us to get out of this forum coz no one has control on this forum except the mods and admin
One last thing on your nick.. you might want to change to something else as it means IRON in one language and Not a nice word in another language. Says a lot about you on choosing the nick
