Places to live

Post by ckmunce » Mon, 11 Apr 2011 1:26 pm

My family will be relocating to Singapore in July and my husband will be working in the Dover area.
As a family with 2 young children we are looking for places to live that are decent size (above 160sqm 3 bedroom min) and have great outdoor facilities eg: playground, pool for around $4000 per month. My husband does not mind traveling too far so any place we choose to live will need to be within walking distance to a subway stop.
Any suggestions would be great as we only have 10 days after arriving to find a place to live.
Thanks in Advance

That's very unlikely in the dover area. Dover parkview is a condo that would suit all your requirements but you'll be paying closer to 5K for something large with 3 bedrooms, and I don't think there is anything there 160sqm+ more like 120sqm (in fact, I don't know of any condos as large as 160sqm which you will get for the price you're prepared to pay)

If you move further out you might get lucky with one or two of the condos in bukit batok or upper bukit timah road, but condos as large as you want are not that common for 4K

Thank you for your reply. We are happy to live further away from Dover but really not sure what area we should look in. Any recommendations of housing complexes would be great.

Your budget isn't really the problem, if you live 10-20 mins down the road from Dover you can find condos in Jurong, Bukit Batok, Choa Chu Kang, Boon Lay etc... (such as Parc Oasis, Westmere, Summerdale, or Maysprings - a few names to get you going there) which you can get inside 4K however the sizes are more like 110-130sqm, 160sqm is pretty rare but if you can compromise on that and go slightly smaller you've plenty of choice
