Eubank was like marmite to most people!! I was one of his fans. A good boxer but the Watson incident seemed to take it out of him personally and he seemed to personally shoulder the burden and blame for Watsons injury and was never the same sort of aggressive fighter we first saw after that. His fights tended to go the distance.

It's a good point about the MMA, there is a real lack of' box office' these days. When I was asked to pay 20 quid to watch Amir Khan I nearly choked!!

I never rated Lewis at all. I thought he came off the back of a dying era of heavyweights and yes, he KO'd Tyson, but Tyson was well out of it physically and mentally at that stage.

Benn was always great entertainment. A real scrapper and just loved to go toe to toe with anyone. Good chin too.

Morales / Barrera 1 was an awesome fight, but my favourite and you'll piss yourself at this was Benn / Eubank 1!!

It's quite funny how you loved Eubank and I didn't whereas you didn't like Lewis but I was a huge fan

Would have been a great fight between Lewis in his prime and Tyson in his prime, but alas it was impossible as Tyson peaked before Lewis really came on the scene and Lewis didn't peak till his thirties. I'm not even going to get into an argument about who would win though :D (although I think both only really lost in their respective peaks because they got lazy)

Still, at least we got to see some decent fights like Holyfield-Tyson and Lewis-Holyfield, nowadays all we get to see is one of the big Ukranian robots slapping around a pub bouncer for a few rounds or David Haye gobbing off and then beating another pub bouncer. Looking forward to Klitschko - Haye though I must admit (it's like a drug, just as I think I've kicked it something comes along to get me excited again), hope it actually happens this time.

Benn - Eubank 1 was a great fight! Question though - who did you think won the second fight? Most people at the time thought Benn but then that was probably because they were desperate to see Eubank lose, I saw it again a few years ago and whilst it was closer than I thought at the time I thought Benn deserved the decision. You're right though, Eubank was never the same after Watson, I remember him decking Collins and then looking genuinely scared that he'd hurt him and then just standing back and jabbing again rather than trying to finish the fight
