MHB, I was hoping you would drop in as I knew you had made a recommendation some time ago for the same.

Usually you'd just yell at the newbies to go and use the search function.

Bloody 'ell, I waited 7 hours for one of you lot to tell her. Finally, felt sorry for her as nobody responded at all, so I tried to be nice. That'll learn me!

Thank you for the recommendation. I have found a number of upholsterers but it's always good to get a recommendation
Thank you also for the link- will revert in future

"Revert" is terrible grammar.
What it means:
Return to (a previous state, condition, practice, etc.).
Maybe you meant 'respond'?

revert
vb [rɪˈvɜːt] (intr; foll by to)
1. to go back to a former practice, condition, belief, etc. she reverted to her old wicked ways
2. to take up again or come back to a former topic
3. (Life Sciences & Allied Applications / Biology) Biology (of individuals, organs, etc.) to return to a more primitive, earlier, or simpler condition or type
4. (Law)
property law (of an estate or interest in land) to return to its former owner or his heirs when a grant, esp a grant for the lifetime of the grantee, comes to an end
revert to type to resume characteristics that were thought to have disappeared
n [ˈriːˌvɜːt]
(Christianity / Ecclesiastical Terms) a person who, having been converted, has returned to his former beliefs or Church
[from Latin revertere to return, from re- + vertere to turn]
reverter n
revertible adj
Usage: Since back is part of the meaning of revert, one should not say that someone reverts back to a certain type of behaviour
I hear this a lot in Singapore. I'm guessing it became less accurate with use.

No- i didn't mean respond, i meant revert.
As in - i have already taken a look at the link you have sent me, and so i will revert (to take up again) in the future.
But thank you for so kindly attempting to correct me. Don't worry, if i need help in the future i will ask my husband- who is a English Oxford University graduate.
