Accommodation: Good areas for someone working in Biopolis?

I'm single and considering a move to Singapore, and if I accept, I would likely be working in Biopolis. Can anyone suggest good areas to concentrate on for accommodation? I probably won't buy a car, so I would be relying on the MRT. I've been told that Dover, Jurong East and Clementi are good options with <30 mins commute, while Bedok is a good option for a 30-45 mins commute. Any ideas?

Holland Village, Dover and Ghim Moh (a very "local" HDB estate) are within walking distance to Biopolis. Bukit Timah is a short bus ride away. And everything along the East-West MRT line is fine, too, although Bedok is really far. Queenstown, Clementi, Jurong, etc. are better.
