All renewables require 24/7 permanently on back-up (i.e. nuclear).

So in effect there is no point soaking the taxpayer for 'clean energy' in the first place. As it's nothing more than expensive tokenism, that gobbles up huge amounts of resources to install and maintain.

p.s Denmark is in the unusual (unique?) position of exporting excess energy to Norway where it is stored daily via hydro dams.

Nice read http://www.bbj.hu/energy/green-smes-exp ... able_56570 though many just siphon off the funding available, again bureaucratic failures. There is just far too much tax payers money flying around for everyone, hence the activities of Greece and others.

We should find a way to generate electricity off the hot air all these politicians are blowing.

I'd rather see them taken out back and brutally beaten with pieces of 4"*2".

That is probably the only way to deal with tyrants you have not and cannot vote for.

I'm :-| with a wooden spoon, is there nothing in between! I think there is, and i think that is why UK and Denmark opted out of the Euro in 1973.

Actually the EEC has never worked, and cannot work as long as countries still implement their own laws, but the UK really do need to tighten up more than what they are doing, especially on the legal side, which is far outdated with judges living in cuckoo land. Nothing the EU decides on is enforced anyway...as the UK make millions of £ out of ignoring human rights, and only pay up when taken to the European court, that is fact. The fine is very little and it's worth paying compensation to 1 person, than paying several million out becuase the EU says so.

Fathers need equality, yet the UK is still very biased and outdated, leaving many women using the laws against men.

Back in the 60's I recall a guy stealing at school and he was forced into the military by the judge it turned him around. I would love to see the country cleaned up of these layabouts.

Maybe a collective support group on the Internet could over throw parliament, and we could kick some ass  they can all elope with Gaddafi. Though lets see how it shapes up in the future!

Fact is it would not be hard to write a party manifesto that most people want, but no current party will write.

- Leave the EU
- Limit benefits to 12 months over your lifetime
- Close all quangos and sell off the BBC
- reduce number of mps from 450 to 100. Shut the House of Lords down, it's pointless.
- Reduce public payroll to the size it was when Labour came to power in 1997 - as a starting point.
- Drop income tax to a flat 20%
- Bring back capital punishment

No rules violations yet. Will hide and watch.
