Singapore CPF

Post by shinjub » Wed, 30 Mar 2011 8:23 am

Hi,

I am new in this CPF area. Can someone guide me as to how differentiate between ordinary wages and additional allowance.

There are some examples being provided in the CPF website. Can I have some more example of what are the things that are contributing towards ordinary wages and additional allowance.

Thanks,

You can find out about all that attracts CPF and that which doesn't right here:

Hi sms,

Thanks for providing the website for me. But how do we differentiate the items in the list into ordinary wages and additional wages?

Thanks. 8-)

Doesn't matter, both attract CPF so the point is moot.

However, if it reallly matters that much, this 'should' answer your question........
Additional wages

Additional wages are wages which are not granted wholly and exclusively for the month. Examples are the annual bonus, leave pay, incentive and other payments made at intervals of more than a month.

Hi,

Thanks for your swift respond.

I think its important because there are limitation on to the ordinary wages and additional wages that we can use to compute the cpf.

So can I just find out from you is shift allowance consider as ordinary wages or additional wages?

Thanks. :)

Yes, shift allowances are considered as ordinary wages.
