Post by fatmouse76 » Tue, 29 Mar 2011 3:35 pm

:) hi all , I visited Dr Eileen Tan for my dark circles and she mentioned that I had lots of pigmentation and I was advised to do a Pigment Laser for 4-6 sessions.

Has anyone done Pigment Laser ? How effective is it ?

--Hello Fatmouse76, did you go through the procedure with the dr. Eileen Tan ? How were the service and result, and how much did it cost ? Were you given other alternatives besides pigment laser ? I want to get rid of dark spot from my face too (due to UV, aging :-)). I'll appreciate any information, thank you. Peps.

Hi Peps, I have not gone to the for the laser. She was charging $650 per session and wanted me to do 4-6 sessions before I see 50-70% improvement.

She did mention using creams but she said it would be slower.

I have been seeing another Dermatologist before for other issues, Dr L L Cheong in the same building, and she is cheaper ,I think its $300+, even the chemical peel is costing me $150. And both these dermatologists are well known.

Hope this info helps :)

I will definitely go with Dr LL Cheong for anything regarding dermatology aesthetics as I've had extremely bad experience with the other one mentioned above. Not a professional and abled dermatologist at all based on my personal experience. Back to Dr LL Cheong's amazing skills - she managed to turn my female friend's severely and possibly perm scarred acne face back into almost flawless now. One word - AMAZING!

hii, well I just went to see Dr Cheong for my first Chemical peel and I spoke to her about the dark eye circles.

She told me that if Eileen Tan could promise me that my circles will really go away from 50-70%, then I should go for it.

But she did say that its painful, and she did say that there is no such thing as the dark circles going away as the pigmentation will keep coming back. So i just listened to her and got some creams to put onto my eyes.

But I dont believe ,there must be a solution to this issue.nevertheless,I will email to Woffles Wu first.

That is how genuine and great Dr LL Cheong was and still is, she will NEVER give empty 'promises' or pretend to try to over-deliver what she feel is not possible. When my friend went to her depressed and almost feeling hopeless, Dr LL Cheong just said 'Ill try my best to help but no promises the scars will be gone AT ALL.' After just a few treatments, my friend's skin is as good as flawless and she is no longer depressed and is enjoying her life to max now.

Back to Eileen, so very typical of her (based on my own personal experience) to give promises like that -but seriously, how can anyone 'promises' anything like 50-70% disappearance of something?. - how is she even going measure the difference between 50% and 60% ? And if it doesnt work, say at the very least 50% which was promised? Will there be any refund? In my case none. I was told I went into it with 'open eyes'.

Hey I also has a good experience with Dr. Dr Cheong Lai Leng.
She really is genuine and kind. I also experienced good results and feedback from her.

Regarding Pigment Laser, I had a really comfortable experience. No discomfort at all , a lil red and I can see my sun spots are pronounced , that's good , that means the laser light energy connected to the darkened areas , exactly what I wanted to be rid of and my skin feels so smooth and polished.

O:) O:)

Dark circles is not treatable. If it is caused by tear trough. you can cover up the tear trough with filer to lightening the "shadow effect" of tear trough. Dark circle is more than merely dark pigments. It has to do with hemosiderin, blood congestion , light effect etc
