Wow! Another expat in Choa Chu Kang! Finally! :D

I send my 3-year old twins to Elfa Children's Place at block 688C, Choa Chu Kang Crescent. But that's only because I live in the next block (so I can just walk my girls to school everyday) and the fees are very reasonable. :D

The facilities are clean but just so-so (nowhere nearly as big or impressive as the more expensive chains, like Pat's Schoolhouse or Etonhouse) but the teachers are very sweet, kind and caring. And my girls are very happy going there. Most of the children are Singaporean but there are a few from Indian expat families too. There's a little boy called Srinivasan in my daughters' pre-nursery class who is very cute! :D

The school is bilingual - English and Chinese - and all classes have one teacher who speaks English and one who speaks Chinese. If you are okay with that, it's a fairly nice school to go to.

Hi. I sent my girl to Kinderland Childcare in Choa Chu Kang Centre. She is not the only one expat child there but the rest are Asians, mine is a white fair haired blondie. But the queue to get into there is very long, we were in a waiting list for 1 year. :o You may give it a try however. The facilities are clean and nice and the program also. It is full airconed however and children very rarely go out.

OP, did you find a school?

Sorry for just seeing this thread but we had our kid in what is now Cherie Hearts at the Limbang Shopping Centre, used to be called Sunny Grove, and was when he started there.

They have a couple of really good teachers in there. Ours was the only expat kid in the whole place but there was certainly no adverse effect or favouritism.

The kids go on field trips every month or two, and out to the park nearby. Ours went downstairs for both a tour of McD's and a pet shop as well as through NTUC and the wet market being taught what a supermarket was, what foods were and, more importantly, the value of money ;)

We moved apartment out of CCK and have been struggling to find a school up to the same level of this one. Cherie Hearts is a chain of schools and we've been round a few, but they are all completely different even when working off the same books. The principle and teachers make a huge difference.
