The implosion of the EU is not going to be pretty, but one things for sure this cannot go on...

Well... nothing approaching 25% but Nevada is at 10.8 percent.

Thing is that there is a lot of concern that the numbers don't represent true unemployment in the US... that the chronically unemployed are categorized as "not looking", and the older as "retired". Nevada shoots to 22% when all factors are considered.

I don't really go in for cutesy animal pics/web-topics but this page does include some genuinely very funny photographs into which animals have 'inserted' themselves.

You think it's hot in SG?

How about this weekend in Europe, our desktop 'weather-station' reported the outdoor temperature as 63.5C! :)

This had me completely puzzled until a few hours later I clicked that the outdoor transmitter batteries were on their very last legs and doing weird stuff to readings.

p.s. For the sake of clarify, I've chopped off the right third of the screen as the clock is 'radio-controlled' (connected by RF to a local atomic clock), and that side contains references to our location and location specific data (sunrise/set times etc...)

Sorry about the the blurring, the heat was doing funny things to my camera phone ;)

Hahaha! Nice one, thanks for posting. Did you notice that no-one in the Dukes of Hazzard scenes was wearing a seat belt? Just a little jolt when they 'land' and then they carry on driving - too funny. I used to love watching that show on Saturday evenings back in the old country, especially for the fine scenery...

Indeed. I'd linked to an image along the lines you mentioned but they seem to have stopped the hotlink from working, so here's another one...
