ps addiction?

Post by boii18 » Sat, 19 Mar 2011 11:17 pm

hi all, i don't know if i have ps addiction. sometimes i feel that im addicted?

1) i used to look very bad, and now i keep looking better and better. i think there's some room for improvement after thorough research - using two or three surgeries - but i am scared of it being never-ending. it is not the same surgery - i havent operated on those parts before.

2) i still look very natural and good in real life and in photos. people think i look younger than my age. i am 21 but i look 17 or 18.

3) of all my surgeries, i would say im very satisfied with my nose, my chin and my eyes. i will not re-do them.

4) however, i think my browbone can be reduced because its really not that normal or feminine. it can make me look younger. i also want to do fat injections for loveband, chin and tear trough.

5) i used to look very bad, so could that be the reason why I need around 10 surgeries? ( some done together , or revision due to botched job by dr chuang of wishclinic ) .....

6) i do not stare at or think about my defects all day. and i think that i do look above average.

Maybe i should seek psychiatric or psychological help if after the 2 surgeries i am still not satisfied? =/

pls advise forummers. if you still look natural, and look better, is it time to stop or proceed with caution?

my surgeries so far ( excluding revision ) : open rhinoplasty+alar+tipplasty, lip lift, lip reduction, sliding genioplasty, eyelid surgery, fat injection to chin --> i think these are standard surgeries?? i dont want to do my cheekbones or jaw.....

hi boi,

i am glad to know that you have realised it after our chat on msn today.

dont forget many of us do look 5+ years younger, due to the hi technologies etc. you are 21 now, so looking like a 17-18 yr old bloke is normal. imagine when u are 40 or 50, dont tell me u still wanna look like a teenager or twink?

do buzz me if u wanna chat again.

regards

p/s i personally feel a 21yrs old guy who has done so many PS is deemed PS FANATIC....consulting a shrink certainly help!

Honestly, you don't need surgery, you need counseling.

You're 21 - not 55. You don't need corrective surgery.

You need to live within your own skin, find happiness, and stop looking for external 'fixes'. That is a never ending road unless you can find an end within yourself.

Good luck - I hope you can find inner peace that doesn't have a scalpel attached to it...

Perhaps you are seeking validation? Or you lack a goal?
You are looking better, but why is it that you wanted to look better?
To have ppl tell u u look good? Attract more ppl? become a model?
Perhaps if these questions are answered, you will finally gain some inner peace

i always think if Dawn Yang can transform herself into something beautiful, we all too, can have that opportunity.

We are lucky to be situated in Asia where PS is available to us at different price levels in the surrounding regions. My friends in London or NY are paying 10x the price for a simple rhino or chin aug.

You just have to do your research on your surgeon before undergoing any procedures, although, sometimes, that isn't fool proof.

If you're transforming to become an actor or you want to attain model looks, it's your prerogative and no one should stop you from achieving your FULL potential through PS.

If marathoners are running hundreds of km's a week for the fun of it, i don't see why we should question ourselves on PS addiction or why we should even validate if PS is necessary to us.

Look at Angelina Jolie.... born beautiful and now stunning thanks to PS. Also, all the Korean and Jap actors and actresses have undergone some form of PS. Even TCS people have secretly undergone PS. it's just not in the media like the Hollywood celebrities.

PS is about looking physically good to ourselves. There's nothing wrong in wanting to look good is there....?

i kinda agree with turnedhr, as long as your expectations are realistic ( don't keep revising again and again ), and the procedures will actually make you look better ( and are not too many ) i think it should be okay..

I think since I am satisifed with the results of my surgery thus far, I think i will go on for another 2 surgeries - the fat injection and browbone reduction.

If I go on wanting to revise or do new things, then something is wrong.

But I am very scientific, not emotional. I know that lateral canthoplasty, cheek implants, cheekbone reduction, jaw reduction will NOT look good on me. certain procedures are actually good for different people.

and furthermore, many celebrities do alot of plastic and look good, like gackt, ayumi hamasaki and korean celebrities. they even do their breast. and since i am a guy, i dont do any body surgery and prefer to improve my body thru working out...

i think i am not in THAT bad of a situation, even though it sounds scary..

i mean life is short, and i want to have really stunning looks, not just above average. yes i admit my initial aim was above average, but now i wanna aim for stunning, if possible. if i cant acheive that thru' normal measures ( that is, one or two more surgeries ) , i will just give up the thought of that.

besides, after the end of my ps journey i will have done only two surgeries in GA - sliding genioplasty and browbone reduction

the best solution is answering myself after self-evaluation..
i have decided.
that my life has changed. with plastic surgery.
that i am going to go on,and improve further.
with 2 more surgeries. if i go beyond, i am seeking medical help without a scapel.
i feel inner peace now, cause i have a partner and life is going well.
thanks all for ur help.

everyone has addictions. whether its sports, video games, gambling, whatever. The idea is to turn that addiction into moderation only. Nothing in excess is ever a good thing. I think so long as you control yourself and recognize when too much is too much then you shoudl be okay. This applies to everything else in life too.

Boi 18, I have been noticing you quite abit in the forum.

I am just curious how you define beauty?

The procedures you do are way beyond me.

I personally only know a handful of the popular jobs like nose, eyes, chin , forehead etc.

I just like to know how you know what needs to be 'fixed' .

Dont get me wrong, I just find you very knowledgeable about these stuff.

As for addict TBH it looks like on the surface when I take into account the number of 'jobs' you have gone through but I guess if nothing looks like plastic then it is fine.

I just find it uncomfortable when you see someone, and they just look 'PLASTIC'.

you will only look plastic if your implants are too unnatural for your face....

remember... every mm counts guys! don't go for too large of an implant or you would have to revise...

BUT.... having PS more than once does not deem you "PLASTIC"...

Does Tom Cruise look plastic? Jennifer Lopez? Sharon Osborne?

There are many "normal" attractive looking people out there that have had multiple surgeries done...

Let's try to be positive for each other OK.
