Just visit any of the shops they have near your location. Tried their service and so far so good. I got to lcd replacement for 2 laptops i had.
cost around SGD 250 per laptop which is already cheap.

If it's more than 3 years old, think about scrapping it. if you are going to spend $250 or more, you can buy second hand and keep your's as a spare, rather than repair. However 3 yrs old is the limit for most people.

Actually, the LCD screen itself rarely fails unless it has been stepped on or some such. More likely it is the CCF lighting, the ballast for it, or maybe a bad graphics card. The price quoted is about right, though...

The other option is to use an external monitor.
