You should go against England when they're expected to win and back them when they're written off prematurely. :)

We know how the QF will play out (1st in group A vs 4th in group B and so on...), but how will the Semis be decided?

Winner from QF1 plays winner from QF3.

I don't think it matters who England play, they can beat anyone on their day, or lose to anyone on their day!! But it looks like England will get Sri Lanka, unless West Indies give India a real beating and India's run rate drops massively. Although India might be conscious of playing Australia in the Semi's and 'play poorly'!!

Let's wait and see tomorrow

If India doesn't lose today then South Africa's road to the final looks perfect from their POV, as during the quarters and semis they would not have to face either Australia, India or Sri Lanka.

So if you consider that only one of the Australia/India/Sri Lanka trio can make the final because they will play each other along the way, South Africa looks perfectly poised for at least a final appearance.

Good points, but I'm sure there will be a few more twists and turns along the way!! I'm guessing you follow S.A - I think they are the most complete team in the tournament and have a good chance.......

Unless England play out of their skin it will most prolly be a Sri Lanka vs SA semis in front of a packed and very noisy home crowd in Colombo.

What most people dont realise is SA vs SL matches in the past world cups were very close affairs...Keep your fingers crossed!

England all the way - they will peak soon!!

I'm sure the games will be shown at Chijmes or I do know the Aussie bar - Boomerang - at Robertson will be showing the games.

The England vs Sri Lanka quarter final is going to be overlapped by the England vs Wales football on Saturday night

I was gonna say that most bars will be showing the cricket unless there is some football on.

Hopefully we'll skittle out SL and knock the runs off before the footy starts. But think I'll hedge my bets and back SL to avoid being completely disappointed!

Where would be a good place to watch tomorrow's game, considering that the 5pm start means that the match might finish well after midnight?

That Beer Market in CQ next to the taxi stand/Coffee Club is quite good. Was open to the end of the match yesterday and they showed the game with commentary. :)

My living room was showing it and that too had commentary - for the last two hours my girlfriend was constantly telling me to turn it off so she could watch American Idol!!
