please have a look at Liberia, and thank your god, that you are well and safe. (Please be advised that some, i mean most scenes will leave you crying and sad)

Wow, you've got to be pretty dumb to post under your own (real) name on Facebook.

The reports are truly incredible. If you read the forums ( and clearly they didn't) the majority think he's a pussy .

There i go again ...thinking i live in a de"mock"racy ....silly me. Were now at the stage where even basic terms like "majority" dont mean a damn thing

Nice ..

My 2 cents: everybody have their own opinion of this world, and you can't insist yours is the right one.

I had a japanese friend, through my club, and we went visiting a local member, and the local gal's grandma was staring at the japanese girl and asked where the girl is from: and when told she is japanese, the grandma just told to get her out of the house - seems grandma still remembers her time during WW2. And so was another colleague's mom, who'ripped off the Ayumi Hamasaki pictures when she pasted it in the bedroom wall ..

And closer to home, recently, in a volunteer dinner, a guest was sad at the Japanese deaths, and an Indonesian mentioned that more people died during the 2004 Asian Tsunami, and the guest was furious asking how you could compare that with the Japanese earthquake ..

Well, I could add ..

Post 9/11, when there was a flood of sympathy, a colleague from an asian country where terrorist attacks and bombings were/are common asked what the fuss was all about - to this day I remember - about a dozen people 'unfriended' her instantly ..

Calling a country de'mock'racy for such expression of opinion - I don't get the point anyway .. and every person has their own view on things ..

PS: No - I am not with any side, other than my own side. And I hope I didn't unfriend a lot of people now .. And I hope no death squad / dispatch squads has been dispatched to seek and destroy me ..

As I think is evident bigfilshing is well able to stand up for himself ( ), but can I simply opine that he was not 'insisting' his opinion is 'the right one'. He was simply giving his opinion, as far as I can see.

It does seem to be something of a pattern here that westerners simply expressing their opinions, is perceived by many SGns as a attempt to force an idea down SGns throats. (Followed by the tribal closing of ranks, and mass singing of 'Stand up for SG' [we are but a little red-dot] etc)
