Mobile / Broadband packages (Iphone)
Mobile / Broadband packages (Iphone)
Hi, I'm moving to Singapore in the next few weeks and have started to look at broadband / tv packages. I've looked at Starhub and they seem to offer mobiles & data packages as well. I'm going to wait until the iphone 5 comes out, so I'll need a decent mobile package. Is it worth combining the home tv, broadband and mobile phone together from a cost perspective, or seperate them out? Thanks

Hi ...welcome to the forum
well , depending on when the iPhone 5 comes out you may want to go with separate accounts for all . Inevitably the iPhone will be packaged with a subscription ( probably 2 year contract) at a special rate.
Sometimes they even start re-contract or upgrade offers after 18months of a 2 year contract. So don't think you are immediately bound to 2 years.
Internet . Singnet is as good as any and better than most. Touchy subject as opinions vary ( as can be seen in a lot of forums) but as a package i'm more than happy with their offering
Mio TV ( Singnet broadband) is the only one that carries EPL for example so your choice in TV service provider will greatly depend on what you want to watch.
All of the TV offered in Singapore falls way short of US and European offerings in terms of quality as well as content.
Do a bit of research on the various offerings ( not so easy as they change quite frequently) and post back if you have any specific questions.
Good luck
