Growing / Investing your hard earned wealth? How to?

Post by jaheer » Wed, 09 Mar 2011 11:14 am

Recently i came across a friend of mine who has been sending $$ from Singapore to India on monthly basis. He used these $$ to invest back in India on stocks. Relatively his stocks performed 7-8% upwards. Now good 15 years after doing this, we sat over coffee and discussed his investment approaches.....

Yes we all want to send back $$ to invest...or rather "Yes" we are looking for ways to maximise our returns on our hard earned dollars....but was that the right way to do? Considering India's inflation and dollar value depreciations, my friend lost a huge sum of his savings on his approaches.

"This being the case, what are the alternatives" he asked. He was keen to protect and grow his $$$.....What are your suggestions?
