another pet question, is this true/Pet hotel question

Post by sonrisa » Fri, 04 Mar 2011 1:45 pm

I'm confused as to whether there is more than one quarantine facility in Singapore??? I got this quote off the Pet Hotel website. Are they the only designated quarantine place? I'm hoping not because I've seen negative feedback about them.
"Import Services
THE PET HOTEL is the ONLY company that can offer a "ONE-STOP, HASSLE FREE" service for clients who wish to relocate their pets from overseas destinations into Singapore because, with effective from 15th February 2002, THE PET HOTEL is the managing operator for Singapore's only quarantine station, and hence, we are able to offer a complete "door to door" service efficiently."
Has anybody used the Pet Hotel to arrange transport? The Pet Hotel is who our company said to use but I'm not sure about them.
Has anybody successfully transported their pets to Singapore without using a pet relocation company? I would just prefer to do it myself if I can find the right agency to contact. I will start with the reservation for quarantine provided in other thread.

There is only one AVA quarantine facility and it is in Sembawang.

Note: if your pet arrives late at night (e.g. a United flight), then it will spend the first night at the small AVA facility in Changi (CAPQ) and then be moved to Sembawang in the morning.
I believe that the quarantine clock starts in Sembawang, but ask to be sure.

Check the link provided by SMS above.

Pet Hotel is a private firm providing pet "services" (allegedly).
It is also a puppy farm.
You will not get a recommendation from me to use them for anything.
