HDB ownership check

I'm not sure if this has been asked before, but I know that you can check the owner of a particular flat (by his IC or house #). Does anyone have such a link where i can do so?

Also where can I get the soft copy of a rental/lease agreement?

Apparently you know more than everybody as you would think that you would be able to get it from the HDB (if it's a housing board flat). But it would seem that HDB recommends you to "ask" for verification from the person letting the unit to prove ownership.

I know where the link is for a Landlord to verify the legality of the potential renter though. It's on the ICA website:

A sticky situation: if you are a prospective tenant, and you ask HDB to confirm ownership, HDB will tag the property to be monitored, if it is an unapproved rental - as a lot of hdb houses are unapproved rental, and hence, loose your chance to rent ..

And again, if you don't check, you may fall for the scam (for which, luckily only few fell) where a guy claims to be landlord - or the previous tenant claims to be landlord and runs away with the deposit ..

No clue, but, if you are the tenant, the agent must give you a copy. if you want to find somebody else' tenancy agreement - I wonder why ..

So my CASE link wasn't wasted, I recommend it to be a sticky as it is useful! Though this is a property website forum sorry! Maybe they have a contract which is CASE friendly

Do a search on this website 'Rental Agreement' Second thoughts don't bother! The first time I searched it came in the top 2, now i can't find it
